Download
Download Nexa Edge
One installer for every plant. It always serves the latest release, and once installed the gateway keeps itself up to date.
Latest release
Nexa Edge
Version details are unavailable right now. The download still serves the latest release.
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). Administrator rights to install.
No Nexa sign-in is needed to download, so you can fetch it straight on the plant PC. The same button is on every machine’s Live tab in Nexa, under Machine link settings.
Requirements
| What | Needed |
|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit (x64). |
| Rights | An administrator account to install and to change the settings. Anyone on the PC may look at the gateway’s status. |
| Network, out | HTTPS on port 443 to nexa.com.tn. Nothing else leaves the PC. |
| Network, in | None. Nexa Edge opens no port, and the installer adds no firewall rule. |
| Machine data | An OPC UA server the PC can reach (often TOP Server on the same PC), with a user name and password. |
| Running | A PC that stays on. While it sleeps, Nexa shows a gap for that time rather than zeros. |
Getting it to the plant PC
Whoever sets up the PC can type this short link in its browser. It always points to the latest release:
https://nexa.com.tn/download/nexa-edgeThe file is named NexaEdgeSetup-<version>.exe. Downloads are limited to 20 an hour from one network, which a plant never reaches, but a whole office trying it at once might.
Verify the file
If your IT policy asks for it, compare the installer’s SHA-256 with the one Nexa publishes. It is shown in the box above, and the public release lookup returns it too:
# The SHA-256 Nexa publishes for the latest release
$release = (Invoke-RestMethod https://nexa.com.tn/api/public/edge/latest).data
$release.version
$release.sha256
# The SHA-256 of the file you downloaded
$file = Get-FileHash "$env:USERPROFILE\Downloads\$($release.fileName)" -Algorithm SHA256
$file.Hash
# True when they match (PowerShell compares strings case-insensitively)
$file.Hash -eq $release.sha256Updates that the gateway installs by itself are checked more strictly than this, with a signature only Nexa can make. See Automatic updates.
SmartScreen
Windows may show “Windows protected your PC” the first time you run the installer. SmartScreen warns about programs it has not yet seen downloaded often, not about anything it found in the file.
